i know water and all is bad for suede, but all hiking shoes seem to have suede on them. and hiking shoes are meant to be used outside, right? so can%26#039;t it be assumed that they will be exposed to the elements? will they really go bad if they get wet?

There is a stain/water repellant that you can buy in shoe stores that are for suede and it works great and your shoes will last longer and look newer
